SADSAWU provides assistance, education, and representation for domestic workers throughout South Africa.

...assist (domestic) workers with any labour related matter e.g. dismissals, UIF, payment
...represent the (domestic) workers at the CCMA
...ensure that (domestic) workers are aware of the minimum wage as prescribed in national legislation
...work to be available, even over weekends, for workers who might require advice
...educate employers but more especially employees on various labour legislation that exists
...create awareness and empowerment, through programs, in respect of HIV/AIDS
...ensure that workers know their (and others’) rights and recourse in the light of domestic violence and women/child abuse
...facilitate regular life skills workshops e.g. leadership, communication, and information technology (IT) etc.
